Built around berberine's absorption

Berberine is an alkaloid from the root of Berberis aristata. Its principal limitation is bioavailability, so this product addresses absorption from two directions in each serving: 600 mg of a Berberine Phospholipid Complex, in which berberine is bound to sunflower phospholipids to withstand digestion, and 100 mg of stabilised dihydroberberine, the metabolite the body would otherwise generate.

Rather than berberine alone, the components typically taken alongside it are included: 100 mg of Ceylon cinnamon from a 20:1 extract equivalent to 2,000 mg of bark, milk thistle standardised to 80% silymarin, myo-inositol, and black pepper extract at 95% piperine. Each ingredient and its quantity appears on the label, and microencapsulation protects the heat-sensitive actives across shelf life.
