A 10:1 extract, standardised to anthocyanidins

Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) is a small, dark European berry with a notably high anthocyanin content. The specification that matters is the standardised anthocyanidin figure rather than the raw weight, and this product is built on it: a 10:1 extract equivalent to 10,000 mg of bilberry, standardised to 12.5% anthocyanidins, which amounts to 125 mg of actives per tablet.

A small addition of 5 mg of black pepper extract is included to aid the uptake of the bilberry compounds. The daily serving is one tablet, and a pack of 180 provides approximately six months rather than a short trial.

A stated raw weight tells you little without a standardisation figure, which is why the anthocyanidin percentage is declared on the label.
